I illustrated "Canada" In honour of it's 150th anniversary coming up in 2017! It took me a good few weeks to put it together and feel like it was done! A lot of research went into it and i feel the palette I chose works well with the energy and flow of the piece echoing the richness of the the natural beauty we are surrounded by! We are so lucky to be part of this tolerant, peace loving country!
This is what I was up to last week. I tried to stick to a theme of household objects like kettle, furniture and textiles. I intentionally worked with a limited palette on some of them.
This was an interesting project. Definitely out of my comfort zone. However my children's book style sprung to my rescue giving the project a fun whimsical look.
This was our first of the 5 assignments for Boot camp 2106. Creating a coloring / colouring book based on 1920's fashion.
A great new group has been set up by Johanna Fritz called Fritziflock, an illustration group with lots of tips and advice, workshops etc, every week Johanna comes up with a bird related topic to illustrate called Fritzifriday.
