Wrapping up Febuary!

Hello Friends! I hope you all had a fun and productive Febuary. It’s been a busy one for me juggling work as an author and illustrator. I have done my first school visit for my picture book -Aliya’s Secret. It was really gratifying to share the story with grade 2 students at Kingsview Village School in Toronto, their attention didn’t waver from the reading and loved doing arts and crafts afterwards. It’s always a success when the teacher tells you that they couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the reading. With the month of Ramadan around the corner , I have been booking to visit several schools for book presentations of Aliya’s Secret: A Story of Ramadan.

Dino’s and more

My licensing agent wanted me to create some wall for a Nursery or a child’s room, so I did a collection of 4 jungle animals and 4 different types of dinosaurs, which has inspired me to create stories to go with them. I am working on a variety of ideas, the fun part of being an author illustrator, doesn’t matter what comes first- the story or the drawings.

Some Good News to Share!

I was thrilled to bits to find out that my image for The GREAT OUTDOORS CHALLENGE with #theydrawandtravel #theydrawandgarden and #uppercasemag was one of the 15 images to be featured in the next issue of the Uppercase magazine.
